Chameleon calyptratus - The Yemeni or veiled Chameleon is an unusual creature even by reptile standards. It is able to see forwards and backwards at the same time with its independently movable eyes. The tail is pre-hensile like a monkey and has opposed digits on its hands and feet. All Chameleons are excellent climbers and if theatened they can quickly change colour to blend into their surroundings. |
